Not Anymore.
You'd never look
a newborn in their
shining baby blues
and tell them
that you've failed.
But with me,
you might as well have.
You gave me three years
to experience a father.
The three years I can't
even remember.
Yet, you never gave
me one reason to
want to.
Ten years later,
through every octave
of yelling,
I defended you.
Stood up for you.
I believed in you.
Two years after that,
I wonder why I
wasted my time.
Why you did too.
It's not like you actually care.
So why don't you just
move on.
After all,
it's truly what you do best.
