Moving On
Loneliness is a blessing and a curse
Look around to the world changing and the people standing still
A parody of nostalgia and naivety
Lost within an apathetic tragedy of time
Back against the wall with the rising tide of time
The faces of those you left behind reflected with the moon
A child in a womans body, toying with love and indecision
A sister with secret feelings, begging you to help her help herself
The face of regret and the mistakes that you’ve made
The faces of moving on along the bottom of the sea
Narcissistic deafness
Hellishly blind love
These are the ones that you left behind
And as you drown yourself trying to move on you realize
They’re better off when you’re alone
