my home is like a prison,
somewhere I can't get away from
for me,at home,there is only yelling
and screaming that can be heard through all the walls
my home is not a happy place
where no one talks,we only scream and shout
there is rarely happiness
anger and jealousy is in us all
selfishness is the whole of us
our home is not a happy place
we hurt each other in different ways
so we can find a way to laugh
an insult here,
a punch there,
it's all like a game
the one who gets,the last word
gets to feel self-righteous pride
but home is not a happy place
I can't take this much more of my life
