"mr. president, you can't say dallas doesn't love you"
for every man, woman and child in their red white and blue
does gather here today, for you, so subdue
those cheerless sighs, and hark to the crowds
that wave you onward, onward
into the sun that blinds your eyes.
listen not to the bullets penetrating the air
or the screams that fly from the open square
for this is your moment, president.
you will not have another.
