Always been told I’m good, but what’s it mean to be great?
If this is what I’m meant to do, what could I create?
Cause when it comes right down to the truth,
I don’t got money or much time left under this roof,
Few more months I’ll be out so I got everything to lose,
So I’m here trying to write as if I got something to prove,
Guess its true cause I don’t know what to do after this,
I’m just hoping this ain’t a swing and a miss,
It’s like a moment in time when you’re looking for a sign of some sort,
Wondering if this is a hobby I should sport,
Or if it’s something I should cut short,
Received praise, but is that recognition?
And as I gaze, I wonder if this is the right decision,
Is it worth the time and work,
Am I showing something in each line and word,
That opens up the mind and feelings of those who read,
If not then I guess it’s time to find a new steed,
Not saying I quit, Just wondering if this a hobby or a career,
Cause sometimes I feel like this can get me somewhere,
But it’s an answer that doesn’t seem to come in clear.
