My Odd Suprise
I woke up real early on Christmas day,
And ran downstairs to go and play.
When I got to the bottom I stopped in fright,
For what I saw was such an odd sight.
In a red suit where Santa should be,
Was the neighborhood hobo Sant Nickolie.
He looked at the stocking that said my name (Mandy),
Then filled it up with treats and candy.
He then looked at my sisters, who has a bad soul,
And filled up her stocking with nothing but coal.
His rosy red cheeks filled with joy and care,
As he went up the chimney, soot everywhere.
Then I went to the tree, but then I did pause,
I thought to myself, “Was that Santa Claus?”
