Thanks
I sit here staring at you
two rooms away.
Thinking about what we once were,
as people around us fell apart
you and me, we were one.
A lot has happened
between now and then,
I have changed, you have changed
we are now different.
You look up and
our eyes meet.
It’s like a trance,
then we enter a world.
A world of our own,
where no one can bother us.
A world where it is just you and me,
like we once were.
This trance holds time
just by a look
one look between me and you,
the old me and the old you,
your whole state of feeling has changed.
Changed for something good or something bad?
I don’t know
Will I ever know?
I ask myself what happened
who was the one that changed?
Was it me or was it you?
Who are we to blame
Then I think,
if we could let this happen
then it didn’t really mean much.
Not fair? May be so
You’re gone
I walked out
We are no longer one
but two instead.
All that I have left for you
for making me a stronger person
for letting me know how hard life ahead would be
Thanks.
