They won't stop
Screaming inside my head.
I swear,
I swear,
They'll drive me dead.
Unless they
Stop!
Relax. Hold still.
Quiet their voices
To a mild shrill.
Release me of
This sharpening pain.
Hand me back
My mind again.
And leave.

Lying in bed, a girl begins to hear screaming. Yelling. Yet no one is awake. She plugs her ears in hopes to make the sounds go away. No avail. The voices reside within her head, giving her no hope of escape. Unless they stop.
