We stumble down the street hand in hand.

Black sparrows overhead taunt us

I ask you if you will be mine

and you say nothing.

i look at you but you don't look back

you stare into the distance with a blank stare

i look to see what has caught your gaze

then a white arrow peirced my heart

The author's comments:
The song White Sparrows by Billy Talen inspired me to write this. I was sitting in study hall listening to the song and the chrous talks about white sparrows and black arrows. So i switched the colors around and wrote this.
