Do you see him there, in the woods?
Watch him kill the deer, drink its blood.
He looks up, eyes molten gold.
Feel your heart beat, faster, faster.
Closer, closer he comes, eyes now black.
Suddenly, he’s gone.
Then you feel him, his breath on your neck.
The sweet smell of him fills your senses,
Intoxicating in every way.
You wonder how he did it.
Then you know.
You say the word and all goes black.
