Sharp glass slashes my knees
Water buffets my every move

This nothing won't freeze
It's actions resemble quick grooves

What does it see?
Being nothing, but a breeze

Whatever it is it can tease
It counters and seizes...
And then it releases

My blood drops a few degrees
The way it slithers with ease
This fear is like a disease

Why does it toy with me?
Is my fear that tempting?
There's no where to run And I'm too proud to beg
If it's one thing we agree
It is that I'm afraid

By the time this is over,
One of us will crumble into debris

The author's comments:
There are times where anyone feels trapped and somehow. There's no one to blame for that feeling of hopelessness and that is what inspired this piece.
