Dark
It seeps towards me
Cutting and slicing through everything
To get to me
I stand there helplessly
Waiting expectantly
As shivers crawl through my body
Striping my body raw
I feel its cold embrace
I hope that it will release me
Quickly, please quickly
I feel its harsh tendrils snaking up my body
Taking me in its grip
Pulling me deeper into its hold
I reach out pleading
Begging for forgiveness
I feel tiny holes in the world of darkness
I clench them tight to my heart
Until they are part of my soul
Those tiny holes are now big
As I become one with them
I struggle and fight my way through
Finally, I truly walk out of the embrace of darkness
To a whole new place
Light

I like how you began with being in dark and actually came out in the light.

Brilliant.
