While others are picking flowers I am looking at
these crushed brown leaves
rejected from a tree that will not admit
its death is near
brought on by a harsh
season that comes and goes as it
pleases
it varies has no rules
like the way I feel when
I know you're
somewhere
breathing just like
me
with no rules and
variations
