“You see this woman woke me up at a quarter to three…”

Played as I woke up during the summer months
Relaxing as long as I could with the sun overhead.
It was that summer’s theme,
Staying up all night and sleeping all day
Well past noon but not too late to still eat breakfast.
I jump in my car and off I went
With the song still wafting in the air.

“Kick kick shuffle shuffle back to the beach, with a tune on my lips and my quest in reach…”

I hummed to myself as I drove down the street
On my way for a day of eventful nothingness.
I spend most of my time outside
Coming up with plans that would occupy time
Until dusk was in full bloom.

“So I headed way down to the big pier…”

Then, minutes turned into hours and hours various extended moments
Whether it be at the park when no one was around
Or even a late night bonfire
Letting the night unfold as it came…

…until it was time for bed
To start all over again the next day.

“Say damn, let the poor sucker sleep.”
