An Aimless Fleeing

Looking back,
He knows there’s nowhere else to run.
The cloaked figures behind approach with fury,
And revenge.
He’s one of them…
At least he used to be.
His regrettable betrayal,
And the floating boats ashore,
Will entrap him.
The fiery skies mark disaster,
From which he cannot escape,
Although there is no ear to hear,
His scream is his only hope
To be saved.
