The greatest heartbreak I ever endured,
Was one that my heart it ruptured,
I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep for days in my past,
Until he caught me in his strong grasp and rescued me at last,
Never again will I look back at what could have been,
Or dream of what we had back then,
As a smart fella once said, "We were too young
And dumb in the head", many we are among.
This is my final bid farewell,
When we will meet again, no one can tell,
This is no 'Dear John Letter',
For both our hearts know better,
This is simply a longstory short goodbye,
Since I can not listen to another little lie.

My BFF Bailey inspired me to take on writing poetry and has written some wonderful pieces herself. When I shouwed her the finished poem, she said it was the best poem yet and that I had to show it to the world, so I talked to my teacher...and here it is!
