Road less traveled?

It is a long, difficult Road I travel,
Yet I mus go the distance
For I seek a purpose in life.
If I do not go the extra mile,
I may never acheive my goals.
I seek many things,
Things everyone seeks,
Yet I believe I have
A different purpose for these interests
If I do not put forth the extra effort
I may never receive what I treasure most.
How would I be able to live with myself
If I had not at least
Tried to reach my destiny?
I would be ashamed,
And ashamed,
I shall not be.
I shall be determined
To reach my fate
And to live it out
Day to day.
Ever living,
In my set world.
A world where I belong.
A world that God
Has created Just for Me.

I like that you are a dreamer, and that you chose to write about a fairly rare idea. I hope you find yourself, and I do believe you have potential - as a poet, especially. Would you read my short story... (more »)
