i was screaming
as i fell into the dark
swallowed by the blackness
screaming your name as if you could hear me
as if you would care even if you could hear me
but you can't
that divine deafness that settles over you
covers your ears
locks you away from sound
from pain
you don't even turn around
as i fall behind you
you could have seen my eyes
seen them
seen the fear
been the last person on earth to ever touch me
but you weren't
you don't
you don't even care
