Go to sleep now child, darkness comes this way.
All is well as you close your eyes tonight
You’ll be safe. Until it is day

Close your ears to what the voices say
And dream of blue that comes to sight,
That beautiful blue that once more may
Touch that cheek and with it smite
The darkness until it goes away.
But now the dark is at its upmost height
It feels as if such a thing shall never sway,
And never again shall you feel so gay.
But look there now at that amazing light
Never before has a smile felt so bright
