The Past is a Jerk
He follows you around reminding you of unwanted experiences
But he is only there by your invitation
sometimes he will surprise you and tell you of you first love or your best friend
but he will also remind you of death,horror and betrayal
with all of that aside people still love to dwell on the past
The Past can spare you from the present but only briefly because we all must face what is upon us
The Present is Unexpected
He will make you feel strong emotions
He will make your feelings last
He will spit in your face
He will hold you close
He will Jump out from behind the corner and murder you
He will bring you home safely
The Present is where many live, and few want to
The Future is Wise
He knows the past personally for he once was him
He knows everything, but shares nothing
Men crave to learn him, to predict him, to reign him in
Men wish to stop him
And Mother Earth never wanted him
He is the mastermind of fate and death
The Future plans death, The Present follows through, and the Past must live with it.
