We packed away the last box today
It was a box full of your Barbie dolls, all in original packaging
Remember the games we used to play as kids?

You were always Barbie and I was stuck as one of her unidentified friends
Barbie and Nameless Friend had many adventures together

I should have known something was wrong
Your smile was faker than Ken’s
You said everything was fine
You lied

Why did you have to leave me, Sissy?

I didn’t go to your funeral
Mom did, but I couldn’t go
I was mad at you
We were inseparable

Why’d you do it, Sissy?

When they said you were dead I didn’t believe them
When they said it was suicide
I knew they were telling the truth

It's not a Barbie doll without Barbie, Sissy

We packed up your last box today
It was a box full of your Barbie dolls, all in original packaging
We put them back in their small rectangular boxes
Now they can sleep peacefully
Just like you
