Down by the Creek
Deep Water
cold as
snow could ever be
sometimes rushing
sometimes calm
weaving light brown twigs
on top of the gray
and black, wet rocks
holding up a dam
with bright, vibrant
green moss
as bright as the sun
But no sun appears
just wind
blowing in voices
of children asking questions
and of adults giving answers
Hearing mini waterfalls
thundering in the background
having
slippery, cold and wet fun
wondering....
if the dam calmed the water
like they planned?
