In the silence of night

In the shadows of night,
Everything slips out of sight
The sun surrenders without a fight
I watch it as it slips
Under the horizon
The sky goes from blue to white.
Listening to the waves of silence,
Up in the ocean of the heavens,
Moonlight is the only thing in the sky
and the air is warm and dry,
Everything feels right
In the silence of night
