At the table by the pool
My hope begins to grow
While others are dancing and eating
You are here with me
I feel a rush in my chest
As my heart ripples
The way your face reflects the bonfire
And how it dances in your eyes
I won’t forget
The words you speak
And how they’re said
My lips are sewn by the thread
Of a smile
I hope when you go home tonight
When you reflect on today
You’ll think of me
The way I do of you
I will remember tonight
