I Dreamt (rewrite)
I've dreamt of you a thousand times and thought nothing of it...but my most recent dream reminded me of how much I'll miss you when you leave. I dreamt of talking to you, without pressure of secrets. I dreamt of your laugh tangling in my hair and your smile melting over my face. I dreamt of looking into your eyes neither of us saying a word yet hearing all we needed to hear. I dreamt I told you I loved you, and you said it back, without mocking or laughing at me. But as soon as those wonderful words escaped your lips, your laugh untangled from my hair and your smile dripped from my face. You were slipping away, and I was finally waking up.
