a tribute to the lemon meringue
melting imperial destitution
on the shiny kitchen floor,
flaunting convention with flair.
it's your favorite flavor of
cognitive fusion,
and it's apple-scented, too.
manual spontaneity
isn't quite as decisive as
the census on my isolation sandwich.
discretion got shoved to the back of the freezer
with the popsicles nobody wanted
and Fluffy's forgotten remains.
the deceit is so steady,
it's sweet.
