The poem with a title named love.
Why is it that my heart skips a beat when I think of you?
Why is it that the first thing you make me think of is love?
Three words that when put together make two hearts beat as one.
One meaning that’s more than what people can remember,
Will you be mine forever?
‘Tis not your mind that picks your hearts desire,
But I know that it is you I wish to be with.
But I’m scared of being just another one--
Just an extra leaf that will soon fall to the ground.
Tell me how to prove myself wrong.
Promise me you won’t be like people say.
And once you do,
Take my hand, look me in the eyes and never forget-
That I’m just a girl standing in front of a boy--
[asking him to love her].
