I get the feeling that everyone around me is moving up,
And I am still stuck in the same dark scary place that I have lived my entire life.
They are all always so happy,
But I am still wearing this same frown and I am still crying these same tears.
And all of a sudden
The people that I once thought loved me begin to fade away faster than these tears fall.
And soon I do not even recognize them...
But more so, they do not recognize me.
I am nothing more to them than the ground that they walk on,
And they will never look down again.
Not to the place that they once were...
Never.
And even if they do recognize me,
They will not look down.
They are ashamed.
And even later they are the sky, and the clouds, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars.
And I am the ground
Looking up at them.
Hoping that one day they will look down again.
