During these silent moments
Where the wind is dead
The streets are empty
And the leaves have already shed

The radio only plays sad songs
That drown me in sorrow
The TV only ends in happily ever afters
That we won’t see tomorrow

During these silent moments
Are when I miss you most
My heart’s silently breaking
My tears silently streaming

The room isn’t filled with laughter
The walls haven’t seen a smile in days
These old floors are meant for dancing
Without you nothing happens the same way

I’ve tried moving on
Maybe I will when the sky is green
When land is filled with water
And I can search for other fishes in the sea

It’s in these silent moments
Where I bleed from my wound
To hear the sound of your voice
Could rise my spirit from the ground

It’s in theses silent moments
I ask myself why you left
Me in the shadows
To stare out the cold window

I can’t help but be sad
For I gave everything I had
To a four letter word
One I wish I had never heard

Your memory is a ghost
Why I let you in, I’ll never know
Now I regret you the most
In the silent moments
