"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." -Martin Luther King Jr.

In her mind,
a melody is playong,
softly,
faintly,
slowly unwinding into her bloodstream,
the rythm traveling through her body,
a heart beat.
BOOM.
The clash of mental instruments ring out,
loud,
the tempo speeds up,
a chorus sings,
all of the musicians playing in perfect unision as a ZAP runs through her,
an electric shiver down her arm
as he touches her.
All other worldly sounds drown out,
die away,
except for that symphony,
growing louder,
shriller,
more passionate,
more intense,
with every moment,
every touch,
every kiss,
untill at last,
a single note rings out,
clear and painful,
leaving behind a
piercing silence.
