Depressions chokehold
My heart is almost hollow
Only filled with feelings of sorrow
They are here to stay
And won't disappear tomorrow
I try to keep them at bay
But they control me in every way
They suffocate me
And rob me of rational thought
There is no way to get rid of them
I wish there was, because they hurt me like the thorns on a rose stem.
