Tears roll down my face
I'm trapped with no way out
I feel like a prisoner
behind bars in a foreign place

Hollow feelings are shattered
there are no pieces left
walk away from it all
like it never will matter

There's no way out
no way out of here

Bounded by the chains that keep me down
surrounded by the walls that keep me in
covered by the darkness of the night
where is the light
where is the light

Broken promises were made
the heart is just as cold
as the shackles are to my wrists
the moment I thought I was saved

Sunlight avoids coming in
boarded up windows, doors closed
I bow my head, eyes full of shame
this won't be ever again

There's no way out
no way out of here

Bounded by the chains that keep me down
surrounded by the walls that keep me in
covered by the darkness of the night
where is the light
where is the light
stranded by the hope that left me here
branded by the torch that led me in
covered by the somber of the night
where is the light
where is the light

I open my eyes
see a familiar face
they look right through my soul
they remember this place
where their memories erased
where their memories erased

There's no way out
no way out
no way out of here

Bounded by the chains that keep me down
surrounded by the walls that keep me in
covered by the darkness of the night
where is the light
where is the light
stranded by the hope that left me here
branded by the torch that led me in
covered by the somber of the night
where is the light
where is the light

We're bounded by the chains that keep us down
surrounded by the walls that keep us in
we're covered by the darkness of the night
where is the light
where is the light
we're stranded by the hope that left us here
branded by the torch that led us in
we're covered by the somber of the night
where is the light
where is the ligh
