No life is neverending;
We're all killed off
By failing systems.
No song is neverending;
The final crescendo
Is what makes it.
No laughter is neverending;
Our guts would pop
And lines would blur if it was.
No love is neverending;
Death and taxes
Tend to end it for us.
No game is neverending;
The winner
Finally kills it with glory.
No story is neverending;
Writers need to eat,
And readers need to, too.
