"Oooh! Dark matter, we better bring a flashlight!"

I feel so lost
Without your love
I thought was true
I don’t know how
To live
In the dark
Without your glowing heart
To warm up my life
My sweetest love
Turned sour
My heavenly dreams
Shot to hell
When you said farewell
I thought I could fly
Until you broke my wings
And took everything
When you packed up and left
Now I sit alone like a caged up
Bird
Waiting for
Love to set me
Free
And teach me to fly

Wow, I really loved this. Usually I think the idea behind your poem is kind of cliche, but you really made it unique. Check out my work and tell me what you think if you ever get the chance!
