Disconnected
Piercing pools of blue
Calm, chaotic, the inner world deceiving
He watches from his perch
She writhes, her green eyes squinting shut
That emerald twinkle he'd once brought out
Doused, deserted, done
All she wanted was warm water watching
But the frost he sent her never left
The cold manner rejected her forest of comfort
Alone is what he wanted
Alone she wouldn't let him
Alone he watched life leave her
Alone, she left him.
