That Forgotten, Lived- In Memory
Once upon a time,
This used to be a beautiful house.
And
Once upon a time,
This used to be what a family called
“Home,”
But that was then,
And this is now.
Now, all that’s left is a
Caved in roof,
Shattered glass windows,
Grungy, stucco walls,
And a story to tell.
Did they lose all hope?
Did the one they loved die?
When did all the happy memories from this house
Stop meaning something to them?
Maybe they moved on with their life.
Maybe life moved on without them.
Maybe this is what they wanted.
Maybe this dilapidated house reminded them
Of the good times they’ll never see again.
