I open my eyes and look around
I see a little girl hiding in the back of the room
Invisible to the rest of the world
I see a little girl sitting in her room
Smiling as she turns the pages of her book
I see a girl breaking out of her shell
Finally having someone to talk to
I see a girl turning away from
The friend who was like a sister
I see a girl crying as she
Watches her crush with his arm around another girl
I see a girl who just wants to be her
Without all the stupid criticism
But she knows that can't happen
Then I step back from the mirror and sigh
