An Ode to Walking

I take a step
I recall memories of moments and momentarily smile
Regrets remind remorseful actions
Time of actions pursued on emotions felt without reason
Each square of each block is like a day from the years of life
Walking, you are the DayQuil of my everyday

The author's comments:
I was inspired by my Creative Writing teacher to write many poems, and this one is one of my odes. It is to walking because when I'm walking I always feel at peace.
