Mother, mommy, mom.
where oh where have you gone?
Mother, mommy, mom.
where oh where did it all go wrong?

You took a bite of the apple
You never woke up
Prince Charming never came
But I am here, I remember your name
I remember all the toys and all the board games
I remember your smile
I remember our love
But my kiss never could wake you up

Mother, mommy, mom.
where oh where have you gone?
Mother, mommy, mom.
where oh where did it all go wrong?

You pricked your finger on a spindle
You couldn't wake up
Your soul stuck in a dreamland
I lost you to the thorns and to the dragon's demands
But I am still here, I still remember your name
I remember all the gifts and how we used to be the same
I remember our love
I thought it was true

Mother, mommy, mom.
where oh where have you gone?
Mother, mommy, mom.
where oh where did it all go wrong?

You were my princess
You were my queen
a fairytale, a bedtime story
to curl up in your arms
to curl up in your charms

I'm sorry I''m not some knight in shining armor
I'm sorry I couldn't save you
from all the chains and the shakles you bare
and that my kiss couldn't convince you to come out of that nightmare

Dustuhnee, I may not always read poetry but you have a way of creating an image that takes the mind on a journey. I can feel your sense of loss and urgency at times as I read it. Very good. Anne
