Silent is the winter day,
Snow white wind screams escape,
It is frozen solid wind,
Racing through my bones,
I am so cold it burns,
So cold I’m numb,
I have embraced this,

Ice far too long,
Even though the biting cold,

Rejects the sunrise comfort,
And so the silence screams
To the shadow grey sky
The echoes reverberate
In these silent days
Until it quiets again
And yet the silence
Whispers

Escape…
