If Looking Back Hurts you, and looking forward scares you, then look beside you, because I'll always be right there for you, and when you're ready, we can move forward together.

So, Tonight I’m going to love her
Regardless of what they say,
They can b****, yell, and argue
But I am not going away.
To them, this means nothing
And in their eyes, it is all a joke,
The very rights they take for granted
Are the same ones we have revoked.
You can tell me I am not a woman
Hell, you can tell me I deserve to die,
However, what I will not allow you to do
Is to take away my lesbian pride.
So go ahead and hate me
Because you can all go to hell,
I have a right to happiness
Does that word not ring a f***ing bell?
Tell us we are not worthy
Of something called true love,
Yet you have no real knowledge
Of what it is you speak of.
So, Tonight I am going to love her
And I do not care what you say,
You can b****, yell and argue
But as her wife, I am here to stay.

The author's comments:
I recently came out to my entire family and groups of friends as a lesbian. Dealing with the criticism and the arguing from my grandmother (who doesn't accept it) as well as other people, inspired me to write this.

This was quite fantastic. I understand you completely. I went through the same thing. I appreciate the fact that you put your anger out there for all to see.
