A Word to New Writers
As a writer,
One might find
There is a loss of words
From what some will call
Writers block.
A distraction
When the
Train of thought
Is just missed
Leaving the station.
Sometimes it’s even just
Simple lack of inspiration.
Now, I say,
Look to the sky.
Find the words
Longing to be said.
In the bird in the tree,
The sweater with no button,
The light bulb that went out.
The roaring fire,
Or the gentle fall of snowflakes.
Inspiration is all around us,
It is the ticket to finding
The right words to say.
Break that once
Indestructible
Writers block.
