Tonight is Christmas Eve,
This night is the nigh I have been waiting for all year!

I am so excited that I haven’t been able to sit still all day.
Today we are going to follow all of are family traditions.

I walk over by my family, thanking god how lucky we are to have each other.
The fire place burning with fire, ashes flying around like flies flying around in the sky.

The buzzer went off,
My sister and I rushed over as we inhale the aroma of chocolate chip cookies.
The cookies, the cookies are ready.
We walk over by the Christmas tree, and look at the radiant lights, and ribbon wrapped around the tree.
The Star on the top of the tree shining so bright you could see it from a mile away.

We lay down the cookies and a cold glass of milk,
For Santa and his little elf friends.

We sit and wait and wait until our mom gets up and walks over by the tree,
She picks a gift out for each of us and lays it down in front of us.

I unwrap my gift so fast I don’t even remember it being wrapped.
I gaze at the gift as it was gold.
We look at each other gifts as we ohh and aww.

We look up at are mom with a puppy dog face and ask” Please mom just one more?”
She replies”No more for tonight its time to go to bed.”


I rushed up the stairs,
And jumped on my bed until I was out of breath.
As I lay down, I preyed to god that my family would be save and thank him for all he has done for our family.

My eyes drop down, and as quick as a wink I was fast asleep.
As I fall asleep tonight, Santa is traveling the world, and delivering gifts to all the good girls and boys.
