Were Finally Here
Were finally here,
After the long car ride
It’s great to be here.
Now were eating the
Delicious seafood,
Not the salty chips.
Were drinking ice cold tea,
Not bubbly soda.
We walk out onto the beach,
I take my shoes off,
The sand crawls in between my toes.
The warm sun hits me
Like a slap in the face.
Again I realize,
Were finally here.
As I dive into the waves
All the worries,
All the stress,
It’s all gone.
Were finally here
Ready to relax,
Ready to sleep on the beach,
Ready eat foods with the name like
Calamari
That makes my taste buds go on a wild ride.
I’m ready to stay,
stay until the depressing days come,
When I have to go back,
Back to the same boring weather,
Back to the same boring food,
And back to the same boring school days.
As I close my eyes,
My body makes a mold in the sand,
I smile,
I just think,
Were finally here!
