Love Bomb
And our love blew up
Into thousands of fragmented memories
And flowers you tucked behind my ear.
It exploded into laughter,
And ribbons of your smell
And rays of your sunshine hair
It erupted into notes written in your clumsy scrawl
Taped carefully into my diary
And hastily torn out
It detonated, and out came words and out came words we didn’t mean
Insults we threw
Like
Daggers.
And lies, and love.
And mistakes, and the truth.
Oh, they said it wouldn't last.
And how right they were.
And how I wish they were wrong.
