Don’t live for forever. Live for the moment, and let the moments go on forever.

Time could pass
And I could shed

Skins

Their cool embrace;
lies – an entrapment

I discard faces
masks and body casts
saturated with

essence of me

flesh peels like rubber
exposing muscles, veins,
nerves

And I grow a new
Skin to add to my collection.

The author's comments:
Skins is about all the faces we put on and discard, all the people we pretend to be for different people, all the lives we try out and hate. Every time we pretend to be someone we're not, we grow a new skin to fool others with and to hide behind, but in our hearts, we know it's all a lie.

No one can hurt me as much as I can hurt myself.

A little short, but very powerful.

Something I myself am more than guilty of. Once more, congrats.
