Favorite Quote:
Don’t live for forever. Live for the moment, and let the moments go on forever.

Vibrations pump dead hearts
in this haunted place where ghosts roam.
They fly inside you, tickle your lungs
until they burn up
cackle.
Cavernous walls of the atrium,
right or left it doesn’t matter,
they seize up and grab at you
with greedy hands. Long fingers with
spider-like qualities. Thick-knuckled.

This is your heart. It hates you.
Forced into labor by birth.
A life-time of servitude.
So why don’t you just whine
when it decides

to run away?

The author's comments:
Heart Chambers is about how we are each given a heart. That one organ works constantly, keeping us alive, functioning, healthy. And yet, we abuse it, mistreat it, and then we complain when it gets tired, shuts down, and we die. We are given years of life to live, and we should be thankful for those years, and not complain when they're up.
