The Departure

With a firm, resolute mind, I tell myself,
“You know you can do it. It’s your time now.”
No turning back, only the glory awaits me
Today, I walk this long path alone—again.

Nature suddenly becomes another world to me
I guess they want the old me back…
Even my dear apple tree wants the old me back.
But what can I do? I am struggling through the past,
Trying to find out my real identity.
Today, I walk this long path alone—again.

When I step out, the nature pulls me back gently.
“Look out, my young one!”she whispers.
When I start on my journey, my memories haunt me.
Memories that I crave to erase completely.

What I die for is also what I live for.
Wanting a new start, I pursue..against all the odds.
Always…I will stand up… I won’t give up…
Now… I see the real me…

This poem describes the journey one/everyone takes to find the "real me". The journey might be painful and enduring, but will be always successful and sweet at the end. I hope people become inspired to start the journey!
