In our lives we are faced by critical moments.

Clueless, we are completely lost

Like little children in a city with no guiding angel

Afraid and scared it will leave you.

We sometimes take the wrong path.

The path that leads to failure.

We feel small; we hide,
Putting everything behind.

Then we shout, scream for answers.

Through the sunshine, we hope, we dream.

Living in a cycle of life,

Hard moments leave. Hopes bloom to embrace us.

We smile, forgetting about the past,
And look forward to tomorrow as painful memories ease.

Fresh start, New Life, Hope, Dream:
Our true lives begin starting now.

The author's comments:
After seeing a lot of my friends going through tough times as high school students, I decided to arouse the feeling of "hope" among them that had been non-existent. I hope through this poem, a lot of people are inspired and to just let everything go; sometimes, that is the best advice one can get.
