I am a boy
so, they say that I cannot
understand Love
or that I am too young to understand Commitment
so, they call my feelings insignificant
or Puppy Love.
But they are wrong
for I see the naked Cupid.
my feelings are quite real.
True.
for, indeed I may be young
but that does not mean that I do not understand.
for, to me, She is not just anyone,
She is my pen and paper
my water and bread
A truth in a land of lies
A dove, so pure and bold
flames which interrupt the cold.
maybe I am not so wise
maybe I have not lived long enough
but that does not mean my feelings are not
True.
they are as real as the sun
as true as the moon
so let no Wise Man say
that this is Puppy Love
for he has never put feet in my shoes.

Like all teens, I feel that love for that one girl (who probably will never feel anything back) and hate it that society seems to dismiss teenage love so easily.
